The selection criteria
The committee acknowledges that it would be ideal to have a prescribed selection process published before the selection of the Australian team occurs. While this will be the case for 2025 Rimfire and 2026 Centerfire it is not possible for 2024. The committee after extensive discussion has decided on the following:
Any shooter who wishes to represent Australia in Colorado in 2024 will need to apply using the required nomination form 2024 entry , before Jan 26th 2024 (linked via this page).
Where a division is not shot in Australia (i.e. Limited and Factory), if a shooter nominates as first preference for this class, it will enhance their chance for selection.
Funding
By submitting a nomination for the 2024 World IPRF Centrefire Championships you are acknowledging that all costs associated with the event will be self funded.
The Selection Process
Each shooter will submit the information on the nomination form, which may include their 5 best National PRS scores. At least 3 scores must be from 2023 with up to 2 scores from 2022. Where possible, they must include a PRS finale score from either 2022 or 2023 (if they did not attend a PRS finale they should submit a 6th National PRS score). Scores will be used to rank the shooters for selection.
In the event the shooter has not obtained 5 national PRS scores, they can submit club scores in lieu of national scores. It should be noted that the National PRS scores will form the primary selection criteria; national scores will be weighted higher within the selection criteria than club match scores.
It should be noted that the selection is final and not subject to appeal. Selection is also subject to review by the AUPRA committee.
